What is it?

Hot on the heels of our recent Toughest Tribe event, we are excited to announce that 'Tribal Trials', our youth edition, is back again this year on bank holiday Monday, 4th May 2026. This event, open to boys and girls, will test the speed, agility, balance and strength of our participant 'warriors' who will battle it out against each other. 

How does it work?

To enter you must play your hurling or camogie with Kilmaley GAA/ Kilmaley Camogie Club and be born between the years of 2009 and 2018. Teams will be selected by the organisers, with each team having a mix of different ages. Tribal Trial races will involve these teams competing against each other while completing a range of challenges. Winning teams will continue to the next round of the competition and the losers will be eliminated. Not completing the full course or avoiding challenges will mean disqualification of teams. The winning team at each stage will be the first team to compete the course.  

• Tribal Trials registration: 10.15am
• Event start time: 11.00am
• What to bring? A spare pair of clothes if raining!
• Course challenges: Silage bales, balance beam, a mini version of the dreaded 'McGough Wall' from our recent Toughest Tribe event, and lots more!
• Winners presentation: 2.00pm approx.

The location?

The location is our main pitch (beyond the clubhouse) at Lisbiggeen sports facility V95 YV04. Serafina's Restaurant and Takeaway will run a pop-up burger and chips stand on the day. Our on-site snack shop will also be open.
