Kilmaley GAA Receive €188,000 in Sports Captial Grants

Kilmaley GAA Club are delighted with the news yesterday that the club has been awarded €118,000 in Sports Capital Grants towards the construction of the second pitch and training area at Lisbiggeen.. The assistance of local politicians and the Minister of State at the Department of Transport Tourism and Sport for their on-going support of this major initiative for the Club is much appreciated

Match funding is a requirement for qualification for Sports Capital Grant from the Club itself and it is to the credit of the loyal supporters over the past number of years since the project commenced that the Club is in a position to have these funds. Kilmaley GAA will continue to fundraise so we are in a position to complete the project through the first phase of the clubhouse development.

The new facilities will continue emphasis on involving young players in the club, increasing levels of participation, improving standards and developing the full potential of the youth and adults of the community. Our target is to complete the playing facilities this year and to begin the building programme in 2015. We wish to acknowledge the significant contributions made by our members and supporters to date. The continued assistance of all supporters is critical and you can play your part by contributing to the Draw for a VW car - details on the website or ask any member of the Club Executive or Development Committee. We thank all our volunteers who are working hard to make our plans a reality. Yesterday’s grant announcement is a massive boost to the players, mentors, supporters of Kilmaley GAA.
